At Approximately 1300hrs on July 11th, The Darien Police Department responded to the report of a bank robbery at Chase Bank, located at 165 Noroton Avenue. Witnesses reported to responding officers that a tall, black male entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. The note implied that the male had a firearm, but no weapon was ever displayed. An amount of cash was given to the suspect, who immediately exited the bank without incident.  The suspect was last seen getting into a vehicle parked in a lot adjacent to the bank on Heights Road. The vehicle was described as a white sedan, possibly bearing New Jersey license plates. The Darien Police Detective Bureau responded and processed the scene for evidence. Detectives are actively working with the FBI in an attempt to identify the suspect, pictures of whom were captured on bank surveillance cameras.

The Darien Police are asking anyone who has any information or recognizes the pictured suspect to call the Darien Police Detective Bureau at 203-662-5330.

As this is an active investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
