The Town of Darien Public Works Department, Eversource, and our first responders continue to work in collaboration in assessing and repairing locations that sustained damage as a result of Sunday night’s storm. Over the last 24 hours power has been restored to a majority of those areas that initially lost it. Tokeneke Elementary School remained closed today (11/17) due to power loss. Clean up and repairs will take several days but an estimate on “global” restoration of power remains to be 11:45pm this evening. Several roads still remain closed due to downed trees and wires but Eversource and tree removal contractors will continue to work vigilantly to clear these areas as soon as possible. Roads that remain closed and impassable include:
- Ironwood Ln.
- Morley Ln
- Winding Ln
- East Trail
- Red Coat Pass//Andrews Dr
- Arrowhead Way
- Wildcat Ln.
- Archer Ln.
- Concord Ln
- Gardiner St//Near Post Rd.
- Delafield Island Rd//Red Coat Pass
