BENEFITS INCLUDE:

20-year retirement with no age limitation. Salary range $71,133-$98,941.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Connecticut Certified police officers who have
maintained their certification for a minimum of two consecutive years.
Candidates must have earned a minimum of 30 credits from an accredited college
or university, and are required to attach a copy of their diploma or academic
transcript(s) to their application at time of submission.
A resume and copy of the
candidate’s current certification must also be submitted with the application.
A minimum passing score of 70% on
the CPCA Certified Officer Exam is required prior to applying. In addition,
potential candidates will be required to complete and successfully pass a staff
interview and in-house physical agility (CHIP not required), Police Commission
interview, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation, medical examination
and a thorough background investigation. A competitive wage and benefits
package will be offered in accordance with the current labor contract. Select
