Interested in a career in law enforcement? The Darien Police Department is now accepting applications for our Fall 2026 Internship Program!
Our internship provides college students with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a professional law enforcement environment while earning college credit. Interns may have the opportunity to learn about:
-Patrol Operations
-Traffic Safety & Enforcement
-Criminal Investigations
-Records & Evidence Management
-Communications/Dispatch
-Marine Division (seasonal availability)
-Animal Control
-Administrative Functions

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Be in good academic standing
• Be approved by your college or university to receive internship credit
• Successfully complete a background investigation
• Preference will be given to Darien residents
